Every year I chair the Learning Technologies Conference here in London. This year (our eighth) was a real success, with plenty of buzz around the place and great interaction between delegates, as I have noted elsewhere.
To maintain some of the momentum, and to encourage continued dialogue between delegates, this year we have launched the Learning & Skills Group. The aim is to create an international online community of Learning and Development professionals, providing access to resources and mutual support.
Almost all the delegates from the conference have opted into the Group, giving us a great starting point, and today we launch the Group, with probably the most exciting initial resource being a video archive of all conference presentations since 2004.
Additional resources to come on stream in the next couple of months include a wiki, podcasts, and webinars. It’s a great experiment in building a social network, and definitely meets a need for isolated L&D professionals. To keep track of how things progress, access the Learning Technologies Blog.
